Founded in 2014, the Allen Valleys Folk Festival spans three days and showcases the finest folk music, traditional dance, and interactive workshops.
A highlight of the festival is the spectacular community gathering held in Allendale Marketplace on Saturday evening, featuring the dramatic burning of a wooden sculpture symbolising the legendary Allendale Wolf. In addition to a diverse music line-up, the festival offers a range of arts and crafts workshops. Guided walks and dance with various Clog and Morris dance teams performing in the village centre. There is also a lively New Year's Eve party Ceilidh, providing further opportunity for celebration and community spirit.
