The Old Vicarage was built in 1838 with a small working farm for the Vicar of Walton in the 19th Century. The Coach House and Stables remain around a central courtyard and have been converted to provide spacious accommodation, a microbrewery and a bar. Retaining a Victorian rustic charm, little has changed externally over the last 100 years. Just 400 yards from Hadrian’s Wall path, our Beer Garden has views towards Lanercost, Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. We are ideally placed for those walking or cycling Hadrian’s Wall or simply looking to stay a few days to explore North Cumbria.
